A kind and warm lady with great affection

No doubt, memories of Mrs. Gowry Thavarasha nee Shangary are jealously treasured by all those who had the opportunity to  experience her warm and kind disposition in her personal as well as professional life. Her parents and six siblings had been blessed toshare their love and affection with a person of such a pleasing character. When Gowrycommenced her married life in her late twenties, she became a partner who brought not only love and affection but strength and courage to Mr. Thavarasha, President’s Counsel.Her active engagement in professional matters in her capacity as an attorney-at-law, who was also decorated with a law degree, together with Mr. Thavarasha, had been a strong common foundation that contributed to the success of their personal and professional lives,immensely. The guidance and support Mr. Thavarasha extended to Gowry, gave her the courage and paved the way for her to discharge all her professional duties with commitment and dedication.During her thirty-five year professional life she did not confine her services to any particular area of work. Mrs. Thavarasha was not selective in accepting responsibilities as a lawyer. The contribution she made as an attorney-at-law paved way to numerous persons to seek redress through judicial proceedings.Many vacuums had been created following her untimely departure. We have not only lost a committed and dedicated professional, but a sincerer friend and a great human being too. Her loss reaffirms the basic element – impermanence. Yet, all her contributions and their positive impact on mankind give us the strength to move forward selecting the correct path while managing grief and sorrow we encounter due to the unexpected early demise of Mrs. Gowry Thavarasha nee Shangary – a kind and warm lady with great affection.
