A Tribute to Aunty Gowry

I had known Aunty Gowry since I was little. Aunty Gowry was a kind, humble and a very
generous person who was loved by many.
When I go down the memory lane, I remember how she looked after me when I was suffering
from chicken pox. When she had got to know that I was ill, aunty and uncle immediately
visited me with food and other medicinal herbs. She even bought me new clothes, which I
think was an attempt to comfort the sick little me. In a world where nobody would even
visit a person who is suffering from an infectious disease, aunty Gowry visited me and
even cared for me. As an adult, when I recollect this incident, I feel that she is a Goddess in
disguise.
Several years later when I joined her chambers as an intern (for a very short period) I
noticed how hard working and committed she was at work. She was a mother and a friend
to her juniors as well as her fellow lawyers.
She was a role model to me. Her kindness, generosity as well as her commitment to work
has groomed me to who I am today.
Aunty Gowry, thank you for everything that you have done for me and to everyone whom
you knew and associated. Though death had parted you from us, you will always be loved
and remembered.
I can never forget you
I can never forget your smile
I can never forget your beauty
I can never forget your kindness
I can never forget you
Even though, death has taken you,
I remember you today
I will remember you tomorrow
I always will.
