An undaunted fearless Lawyer, Late Mrs Gowry Shangary had earned a paramount place a Glittering Silverline in the history of legal Profession of this country. It is a lifetime achievement for her where clients flock together for her professional services to seek justice. She had been a tireless workaholic in her profession. Whoever  approached her for legal assistance or to receive justice, she served sincerely irrespective of nationality, race, religion, caste, political shade and creed. Beyond political philosophies she made history in appearing as an instructing Attorney even at the eleventh hour of her span of life, and had been the lawyer for former Governor Azath Salley, and to certain extent in the case of the Parliamentarian. Rishard Badudeen. Parallelly in par with late Kumar Ponnambalam and late Hon.Vinayaga moorthy our President’s Counsel K.V. Thavarasha was on the lead providing his professional services successfully to many more Clients who were charge under Prevention of Terrorism act, the lady behind his success and the piller of strength was Gowry Shangary his beloved Wife. Both late Mrs Gowry Shangary and K.V.Thavarasha extended their services very efficiently in numerous cases sheerly as Legal Professionals to serve their clients. Not only in their profession but also in their life too they were together. Their love bloomed in Law College. I came to know the talents of our good friend Thavarasha since 1980 and about their love for each other, chiefly because of my good friend Mr K.V.Sriskanda kumar later a Senior State Counsel and a colleague of Thavarasha in Law College. This association between Gowry Shangary and Thavarasha had been made for each other. These both have proved themselves in their Legal profession as well. She has delivered immense services in their chosen Legal field and specially to detainees under PTA. Since her demise I pray to God to give strength to Mr. Thavarasha to bear this irreparable loss, the lady behind his every success. No doubt her soul, rest in peace within the soul of her affectionate Thava. The name of late Mrs Gowry Shangary Thavarasha has already been engraved in our contemporary history.
